In early May 30 Borzoi, or Russian Wolfhounds, were found living in filth and squalor, imposed upon them by their owners. They were rescued by a local humane organization and ultimately turned over to the National Borzoi Rescue Foundation whose members cleaned them up, had them vetted and found homes for all the surviving hounds.
This is the story of just one of those beautiful dogs.
I only wish I could credit every single person who was involved directly or indirectly with their rescue, but alas, there isn't enough room in these pages.
Please, make yourself comfortable and prepare yourself to cry, smile, laugh and discover both sorrow and ultimate joy. And so, as author Stephen King has often put it, "Read on, dear reader."
